CANDLES
- Soy candles are safer than paraffin, since they don't contain chemical byproducts that are released into the air when burned - aka less soot!
- Paraffin wax is a byproduct of petroleum production. Soy wax is a byproduct of soybean production.
- Our soy wax is locally grown in the USA and is all natural.
- Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax, so your candles will burn for a longer period of time.
- Soy wax has "memory," and to prevent tunneling, always burn until there is an even melt pool across the top of the candle (about 3 - 4 hours, depending on size).
- Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4" at all times. When the wick no longer lights, or when there is 1/4" of the wick remaining, discontinue use and recycle your candle jar.
- Always burn within sight. Keep away from pets, children, flammable objects, drafts and open windows.
- Keep on a fire resistant, stable surface. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- We make our candles out of 100% soy wax. Changes in temperature can cause variations in the moisture content and texture of the wax as it cools. This can lead to "frosting" (white spots) as the wax cools.
- Frosting has absolutely no effect on how your candle(s) will perform. We'll never send out candles with heavy frosting, but any that occurs during shipping is out of our hands.
- If you receive a candle with heavy frosting, contact us at hello@shopsundayschild.com and we'll send a replacement, but we can't guarantee frosting won't occur again during shipping.
- The lifespan of your Sunday's Child candle depends on a few things, including:
- The size of your candle
- How often you burn it
- How long you let it burn for
- With typical usage, burn times average as follows:
- 5 oz: 20 - 25 hours
- 9 oz: 45 - 55 hours
- 16 oz: 80 - 90 hours
SHIPPING
- Your order is packaged with care and with transit in mind! However, if your order arrives damaged, please contact us at help@shopsundayschild.com with a photo of the damaged product within 48 hours of delivery. A damage claim will be filed with the shipping carrier and we will work together to find a solution to your damaged product. See below for our return and refund policies.
- With the exception of wholesale orders, all orders are shipped through USPS. Sunday's Child is not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect, closed or undeliverable address.
- If your package cannot be delivered due to an incorrect/undeliverable address or business closure and is "returned to sender", Sunday's Child is not responsible for any shipping charges or fees. We're happy to ship your package back to a different address, but you will be asked to cover shipping costs for reshipment.
- Sunday's Child is not responsible for delayed transit times once your order leaves the studio. Once packages are handed off to the carrier, they determine the shipping times. Should your package become delayed or lost, a claim will need to be filed with the shipping carrier.
- Though we would love to (and plan to soon!), we do not currently offer international shipping options.
RETURNS + REFUNDS
- Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are not currently accepting returns at this time. This policy will be updated as we progress out of a global pandemic.
- While we always want you to love your purchase, we understand that can't always be the case. If you're less than satisfied with you order, please complete the form below to contact us regarding a refund. We typically respond within 24 hours.
- Refunds must be requested within 48 hours of order delivery.
- To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and postmarked for return within 7 days of your purchase. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
- Customers are responsible for covering the cost of return shipping. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
- If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
